This weekend, from September 23rd to September 24th, 2022 is one of the biggest events in Dunbar, PA’s history. Dunbar’s community festival, “Dunbar Days,” has been a highlight of the community every year since it first began in 2003. This year is no different, featuring live music, food, vendors, and more all weekend long! Here’s a breakdown of what’s to come on this historical weekend here in Pennsylvania.
Events
The events start off strong on Saturday morning with the largest parade in Dunbar’s history! The Little Miss Dunbar and Colonial Dunbar Pageant will be held from 11-12 on Saturday (extra fee if you enroll the day of). Then, at noon on Saturday don’t miss The Pet Contest! There’s categories for best costume, best trick, and more. To sign up for any of this weekend’s events, visit Dunbar’s library, post office, or the Boro building.
Music
Friday night from 5pm-9pm live entertainment includes The Dunbar Boys. Saturday’s jam-packed with music all day long with Nick polito from 1-4, The Crazy Cowboys from 4-7, and the evening finishes with a set from Jimmy Mack & The Attack from 7-10.
Food
Dunbar Days has food from local churches, vendors, food trucks, and more! Delicious treats like freshly squeezed lemonade and cotton candy will be available for purchase along with seasonal treats like candy apples. There’s no better way to get into the Fall spirit right here in your hometown!
Vendors
Craft vendors of all kinds will set up shop with seasonal décor, scents for your home, and art!
Entry is FREE for the 19th annual Dunbar Days Event, and there’s even free kid’s activities like the infamous train rides!
