Announcing Weekly Wellness Minis!
September 25, 2021
Hi friends! These new blogs will be shorter and more personal. I want to write more about my life and how I overcome my struggles. This first one will be sort of a test run. I hope you like it!
It’s never too late to take back your day.
I had kind of a shitty day today. Truth be told, lately it feels like my life is one shitty day after the next. One thing that I always try to remember is your life is what you make it.
No matter how late in the day it is, you can take your day back. Get some water, have a snack, stretch, take some time to do something fun like watching something you enjoy or going on a walk. It seems silly but just because you’re having kind of a shitty day, doesn’t mean your whole day has to be miserable.
Breathe some fresh air, read, call a friend. Life is too short to let negative thoughts consume you, especially when you’re home. Your home should be your safe space – warm and cozy. If not your house, your room. If not your room, a corner. Make it yours.
Allow yourself to feel all of those nasty feelings. Scream, cry, hit a pillow if you need to. Listen to sad music, go on a long drive in the rain… Get. It. Out. If you don’t, it will live inside of you far too long after it’s useful. Once it’s gone, let it be.
Just because your day was shitty and it’s 8:00, doesn’t mean you can’t put on your favorite pair of PJs and cozy up in bed. Make time for yourself, you won’t regret it.
